I'M BACK IN THE UK!

My sabbatical/one year holiday: 367 days, eight beautiful countries – two of them twice!
21 flights, so many new friends, one very special friend.
Great catching up with the family.
No way enough Kumari dinners whilst in Sri Lanka.
Quite a few amazing mountains, sun rises and sun sets.
In the end only 2.5kg of clothes and 7.5kg of I don’t really know what. Some very nice hostels, some very dodgy hostels.
Two hospital trips, but at least I didn’t need the nit comb.
A couple near misses with snakes.
Some of the most amazing natural beauties: Uluru, the Twelve Apostles, Ha Long Bay, Angkor Wat, Cambodian beaches, sand-dunes and untouched Sri Lanka to name some.
Great sporting events: the Singapore Grand Prix, Australian Open and the Colour Run.
So many Wats and not forgetting Ramsey Street.
I may be poor in pennies, but oh so rich in life experiences!
